Henrietta Chesser Kimball was born in Virginia, daughter of E Chesser, according to her death certificate. She died at age 66 at 1203 Duke Street, her residence. The document lists her as widowed and does not name her mother. The inked information is hard to read, but the death informant's name may be "Mr. J M Kimball" (or Mr J Lou, J Tom, etc.). Arrangements were handled by Wheatley Funeral Home.

It is interesting to note that this Virginia native married a Union Army veteran in 1866. The couple lived in Fairfax County and Alexandria for decades after their marriage. In the 1900 census, Edward is shown as a farmer in the Mount Vernon district of the county. Henrietta is shown as having borne nine children, of whom six were still living at the time of enumeration.

Edward Kimball's service entitled him to an invalid's pension and her to a widow's pension, according to a Civil War Pension index.

Birth date information varies. The most specific date found is December 1848, shown in the census of 1900.
