Mrs. Daros was born in Mount Kisco, NY on March 3, 1931 to Joseph and Rosa (Bongrazzia) St. George. She graduated from Mount Kisco High School and married Richard T. Daros Sr. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mount Kisco on February 27, 1954. Mr. Daros died in 1980.
Through the years, Marion enjoyed waitressing at the Brass Horn and the File & Drum restaurants and was loved by many patrons. She was a member of Alpha Beta Delta Sorority. Marion enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, and was a wonderful baker and party hostess. She wrote poetry, was an amateur artist and loved antiques and collectables. The love of her family was her greatest joy and the precious moments spent with them meant so very much to her.
Mrs. Daros is survived by her four daughters, Lisa Mahoney, Sally and John Bryson and Julie and Paul Booth, all of Carmel, NY, and Laurie and John Netsch of North Salem, NY; three sisters, Sue and Bill DiMicco of Brewster, NY, Joanne St. George and Missi Larzelere, both of Mount Kisco; a sister-in-law, Susan St. George; thirteen grandchildren, Richard and Andrew Daros, Justin and Shannon Mahoney, Tami, Tracy, and Tiffany Bryson, Tina and Brent Wilson, Nicole and Derek Netsch, Paulie, Kody, and Dakota Booth; a great-granddaughter Camdyn Wilson.
She was pre-deceased by a son, Richard T. Daros Jr., on June 9, 2010 and a brother, Joseph St. George, in 2007.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers, NY.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
