Mrs. Agnes B. Hinde Dies in South Dakota
Mrs. Agnes B.[for Burrill] Hinde of Forestburg, S.D., died Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Wessington Springs, S.D. hospital. Services will be at Forestburg, Monday, Dec. 21 and at the Mauer funeral home here [LeMars, IA] Tuesday, Dec. 22, Rev. James Ranson officiating. Burial will be in the LeMars city cemetery. She was born near LeMars and resided here until 1911, when she moved to South Dakota. Surviving are her husband, Thomas W. Hinde; three sons, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Martha Agnes Hinde, 82, was born in Dubuque County, Iowa on April 27, 1877 and died at the hospital at Wessington Springs, So. Dak. on Dec. 17, 1959. She was the daughter of Martha (Austin) Burrill and Geo. W. Burrill. When she was 5 years old the family moved to a farm 12 miles west of LeMars, Iowa where she was educated and taught school.

She was married to Thos. W. Hinde in Sioux City, Iowa on Sept. 16, 1897. They moved to a farm near Forestburg, So. Dak. in March of 1911, where they have since lived. To this union were born 5 sons, two of whom, Flores Williams [sic, Flores William Hinde] and Thomas George, have preceded her in death. Five brothers and 5 sisters have also preceded her in death.

She is survived by the husband, T. W. Hinde of the home, three sons, Richard B. Hinde of Leavenworth, Kansas, Kenneth C. Hinde of Forestburg, So. Dak., and Murry W. Hinde of Madison, So. Dak., 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the LeMars city cemetery at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22 with Rev. James Ransom officiating. Mauer funeral home is in charge of arrangements. The body will arrive in LeMars late Tuesday morning from Forestburg.
