HUNT, VERCIE - 76, of Homer, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday March 28, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday March 29, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. Funeral Services will be Tuesday March 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Torrey officiating. Burial will be follow at Bentley's Corner Cemetery- Clarendon Township. VERCIE HUNT

Vercie Hunt, 76, of Homer passed away Thursday March 24, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born May 19, 1934 in Pike County, Kentucky to Eulon and Vancie (Justice) Bishop. On October 14, 1948 she was married to Earl Hunt in Pikeville, Kentucky and he preceded her in death September 19, 2006.
She came to Michigan in 1968; she worked at Hoffman's which later became Aeroquip in Spring Arbor for 28 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Marshall Church of Christ. She enjoyed Canning, Vegetable and Flower Gardening.
She is survived by one son, Craig (Rita) Hunt of Homer; two daughters, JoAnn (Dennis) Johnson of Jonesville, and Rebecca (Mike) Tackett of Homer; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Mae Fuller and Ernestine Lester both of Steele, Kentucky, and Linda Cantrell of Somerset, Kentucky; and one brother, Hubert Bishop of Big Rock, Virginia.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her Parents; four daughters, Viola Damron, Connie Shaw, Betty Jo and Jeannette Hunt; and four brothers, Raymond, Ray, Cleo, and Herman Bishop.
Visitation for Family and Friends will be Monday March 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday March 29 from 9 A.M. until Service Time at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224.
