A native of Clay City, IN, Mrs. Miller was born September 23, 1886 to John J. and Minerva Griffith Smith. She was a retired employee of the Student Health Center at Indiana University. She married David Clem Miller on January 16, 1915 in Greene County and he died on May 18 of this year.
Survivors include one son, James D. Miller of Bedford; one daughter, Mrs. Bert (Deloris) Griffin of Bedford; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Bryant of Phoeniz, AZ and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Baptist Church of Calvertsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Kern officiating. Burial will take place in the Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelsie Tabor, Forest Carter, Raymond Smith, Clarence Smith, Leonard Weatherwax and Coy Bailey. Friends may call at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home at any time.
