S.A. Carroll, Local Realtor, Dies Suddenly.
A message was received in Lake Charles this morning telling of the sudden death, in Los Angeles, Calif., of S.A. Carroll, long a resident of this city, who, with Mrs. Carroll, was on a vacation tour through the west.
Mr. Carroll passed away at 3:45 this morning, of a heart attack. He had suffered from heart disease for some time.
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll left Lake Charles about six weeks ago to tour the north and west. They had been to Chicago, Lake Louise, through Washington, Portland, and had reached Los Angeles on their way home.
A resident of Lake Charles since his marriage, about 25 years ago, to Miss Livenia Rigmaiden, a Lake Charles girl, a sister of the late J.J. Rigmaiden, Mr. Carroll had been active in business, civic, and church work. He was a member of the First Baptist church and a Mason. For the last several years he had been engaged in the real estate business.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, and several brothers and sisters.
