Obituary:
Ella Mae Bleier

Ella Mae Bleier 89, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, December 22, 2008. Ella Mae, a dear and blessed mother, grandmother, and friend was a kind, giving angel on earth who now joyfully resides with the Lord and heaven's angels. We take solace, but shall miss her laughter, valuable guidance, and her genuine love of faith, family and friends! Born May 28, 1919 in Wymore, Nebraska, Ella Mae and her beloved husband Eddie moved to Arizona in 1952. They continued to raise their family of five children with much love and prayer. Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, son Michael, daughter, Betty, and brother, William McNown. She is survived by daughter, Patty Aker Tom; sons: Bill Bleier, Paul Bleier; grandchildren: Rod Medrano, Eric Bleier, and Sheila Bleier; great grandchildren: Shelby Medrano, and Jake Medrano; sister-in-law, Elaine McNown; niece, Carolyn Johnson; and nephew, Kevin McNown Min. Ella Mae, a dedicated Catholic, was very active at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She was a member and past Prefect of Sodality. Ella Mae was an avid reader, loved to entertain, grow flowers, say prayers for others in need, and most of all spend time with her loving family. Ella Mae had a special devotion for the unborn. She diligently kept a prayful vigil for all women who were considering adoption as an option. Her constant prayer for birth mother's showed her deep love as a woman and as a mother herself. Ella Mae lived her life with grace and dignity and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Visitation/Celebration of Life from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with Scripture/Rosary Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix AZ. A Funeral Mass for Ella Mae will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave, Phoenix AZ, with graveside services immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery, 48th St. and Oak, Phoenix AZ. The family asks that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Chapter, c/o St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave, Phoenix AZ 8
