Joann Caudle, 76, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral service will be held Friday March 25, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. March 24, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Domestic Abuse Shelter.

Joann was born on December 23, 1934, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Georgian (Carpenter) Wickey Viner. She was married to Everett Caudle, who preceded her in death on March 5, 1969.

She was a wonderful storyteller and captivated kids with her funny stories.

She loved dogs, gardening, country music, trap shooting, cooking, baking and shooting pool. She was a member of the Buffalo City Council. She loved her family and always put them first.

Survivors include her children, Wanda (John) Kraklio, Chandler, Ariz., Cheryl (Steve) Millage, Davenport, Iowa, Robert (Pam) Sheese, of Arizona, Richard (Charity) Kelly, Canton, Ill., Steven (Christine) Caudle, Davenport, Iowa, and Keith (Cindy) Plett, Blue Grass, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Bell and Marcia Westbrooks, Davenport; brother, Wayne Viner, Buckeye, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Wanda Weldy, and brothers, Eldon and Ronald Viner.
