Vernetta Acuff, 88, of Bourbonnais, formerly of Dongola, died at 8:11AM on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born on August 2, 1922 the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Beggs) Osman in Union County. She married Fred Acuff on January 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1990.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Connie (Michael) Zullo of Bourbonnais and Kay (Larry) Coleman of Dongola;
2 grandchildren, Rick (Norma) and Christy (Ray)
4 great grandchildren,Chris, Aaron, Ava and Ricky;
3 step grandchildren, Angie (Troy), Julie (Mike) and Chris;
6 step great grandchildren, Brock, Mason, Carly, Jack, Luke and Mya;
2 brothers, Harold Osman and Donald Osman both of Bradley;
Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 3 brothers, Chellis, Orwin and Dallas Osman.
At her request, private funeral services were held at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with burial following at Friendship Cemetery.
