Danella Deupree Wells was the daughter of William Leonidas Wells and Emma Deupree. Danella married William McCutchen Raworth 12 Apr 1918 in Vicksburg, Warren, Mississippi at the Wells family home on Cherry Street.

When the All Saints Episcopal School opened in Vicksburg, she was a member of the first class. After AllSaints, she attended The Episcopal National Cathedral School in Washington, D. C., and then Finch College, a private finishing school in New York.

Dannie traveled extensively throughout Europe with her mother and vividly remembered being presented to the Pope in Rome. She recalled dressing all in white for the audience with the Pope.

Danella married another long time Vicksburger, William McCutchen Raworth, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Henry Raworth of Vicksburg. They had three children: one son, William, who was married to the former Katherine Koestler of Vicksburg. Their two daughters were Mrs. Joseph R. Compton (Emily Deupree ), and Mrs. Eustace Conway, Jr., (Danella Deupree), both of Vicksburg. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Will had a long and happy marriage until his death in 1953 from heart disease.
Mrs. Raworth was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and had many other interests including being an active member of The Garden Club. Her own garden at her home in Chambers Street was unusual and quite beautiful. Perennial beds surrounded a flagstone pool filled with water-lilies and gold fish. Because she had studied piano for seventeen years and had developed a lifelong love of classical music and opera, Dannie was also active in the Vicksburg Musical Club. She held membership in "The Book Club" which she helped to found and which is still active , the committee for Cedar Lawn Cemetery, and was one of the first licensed Vicksburg National Park Tour Guides, A Red Cross Worker, and an avid Bridge player.
Mrs. Raworth was a skilled seamstress and created many beautiful, hand-knit and smocked garments for her family.
Dannie Raworth was always impeccably dressed and well mannered up until the time of her death. She was a gentle soul who was dearly beloved by her family and admired by all who knew her.
