Mrs. Mildred Eppinger Geiger of 118 Norman Drive, Sherwood Oaks, Mars, Pa., a former teacher at Union High School, died at her residence at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 8, 1986. She was a former resident of Garfield Avenue, New Castle. She was born in Plain Grove to John L. and Edith Buchanan Eppinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Geiger, in 1971. Mrs. Geiger was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Va. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Geiger taught English and was a drama coach at Union. She also taught at Clearfield, Pa., the Madison School System in Mansfield, Ohio, and in Alexandria, Va. She is survived a one sister, Mrs. J. Calvin (Gertrude) Winder of Ashland, Ohio. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mrs. John (Wilda) Eperthener, and Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Benes; three brothers, Gaylord C., Guy A. and J. Raymond Eppinger. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Smith Funeral Home (Leesburg) Volant RD 1. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 100 Norman Drive, Sherwood Oaks, Mars. Dr. J. Calvin Winder, pastor emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church in Mansfield, will officiate at both services. He is the brother-in-law of Mrs. Geiger. Interment will be in South Plain Grove Cemetery.
