In 1811, Henry moved with his Brown in-laws to Corydon, Indiana and in December of 1812 enlisted in the 5th Indiana militia. Around this time, Henry moved to 160 acres near the Blue and Ohio rivers and the Brown in-laws settled around him. In Harrison County, Indiana was born:

In 1818, Henry was promoted to Lt. in the 5th Indiana militia.
7) Daniel on Jul 8, 1822

In 1827, son James with wife Sarah Westfall and one year old daughter Malinda Jane moved to present Richland County, Illinois. In 1835, Henry moved his family to land near his son James while son John and his family stayed. Henry died in 1857 and his probate records showed final payment for a headstone on October 10, 1857; but the stone has not been found.
