She was the daughter of the late James Edward Connor and Esther Ann Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bevley Franklin Taylor, six brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.
Mrs. Taylor was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding various leadership callings in many different capacities. She worked as a cashier at Sears, West Side Grocery, the Kwick Check and then as a receptionist at the Best Western for several years. Other than her church duties and activities, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. But most important of all, she was a loving and caring wif, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her example was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her and her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Taylor Carter and husband Gary Wayne of Rayburn Country, TX; two sons, Robert Lamar Taylor and wife Janis (David) and Ronnie Franklin Taylor and wife Marie (Durham) all of Winnfield; eleven grandchildren, Chris Carter and wife Liz of Rayburn Country, TX, Ken Carter and wife Tiffany of Evadale, TX, Kelly Carter and wife Kim of Jarrell, TX, Casey Carter Reynard and husband Jon of Spring, TX, Chad Taylor and wife Amanda of Winnfield, Mindy Taylor Misuraca and husband Chad of Clarence, LA, Lisa Taylor Webb and husband Bryan of Farmington, UT, Brian Taylor and wife Hannah of saline, LA, Brittany Taylor of Dallas, TX, Kayla Taylor Ratcliff and husband Michael of Jasper, TX. Misti Taylor Womack and husband Billy of Winnfield and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family in the Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5-9PM and on Saturday at the church from 9AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with President Justin Hardy presiding. Speakers will be Gary Carter, Chris Carter and Kelly Carter. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Carter, Ken Carter, Jon Reynard, Chad Taylor, Chad Misuraca, Brian Taylor, Micheal Ratcliff and Billy Womack.
