LOGANSPORT, LA. - Services for Mr. Archie Nolan Jones, 78, of Logansport, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday July 7 at Bistineau Baptist Church near Heflin, LA. The Rev. Sandifer will officiate. Burial will be at Bistineau Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday July 6 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport.

Mr. Jones entered into rest Tuesday July 5, 1988, in Shreveport following a lengthy illness.

Archie, known to several as "Buck", had been a resident of Logansport since 1937, and was an auto mechanic by profession. he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Logansport and was a Mason.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lizzie Dring Jones, four brothers, Jeptha, Newtie, Emmett and Curtis Jones, and a sister, Leah Madden.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Davis Jones of Logansport; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Richard Siler of Keithville, LA.; a granddaughter and her husband, Dianne and Nolan Edwards, and two great-granddaughters, Laura and Stephanie Edwards, of Russellville, Ark.; two sisters, Gladys Tanner of Bernice, LA. and Coriene Farrar of Bossier City, LA.; one brother, Gordie Jones of Heflin, LA.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
