Florence was employed at Keystone Foods in North East for 18 years, retiring in 1985. She was a graduate of North East Joint High School. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking and knitting.
She was preceded in death by a son, W.F. Bud Heaps; a brother, R. Kenneth Evans; and a sister, Mattie Magee.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John R. Heaps, whom she married July 26, 1947; a son, John L. Heaps and his wife, Karen, of Erie; a sister, Winifred Eisert of Harborcreek; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at North East Cemetery.
