Frank Charles Abbott, 34, of Brierwood Dr., died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Cause of death was a heart attack.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 8 p.m. today in St. Thomas Catholic Church, wit burial in Mount Gilead Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the family suggests contributions to the St. Thomas Catholic Church. The J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Abbott was born in Decatur, a son of Harold and Nevada Nein Abbott. A life-long resident of Decatur, he was employed as a draftsman for the Jack Doyle architectural firm and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
On Feb. 6, 1955, he married Theresa Vieth, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael, Philip and Christopher, all at home; two daughters, Cathleen and Beth, both at home; his parents, of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Lester (Phyllis) Myers, Decatur; a brother, Thomas Abbott, with the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va., and a half brother, Bernard Weakley, Los Alamedos, Calif.
