Clarence Peterson Is Victim Heart Attack Friday Afternoon

Clarence Peterson, aged twenty-six years, valued employe of the Schwarzenback-Huner Silk Mills, believed to have been stricken with a heart attack, dropped dead while at work about 4:30 o'clock on Thursday afternoon.

The body was removed to the Priest funeral home and there prepared for burial, and this morning was conveyed to the home of his mother, Mrs. L.C. Peterson, at 1203 Fifth avenue south, where the funeral will be conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Ralph Gwin assisted by the Rev. Frank Smith, pastor of the Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church, with interment in the City Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was one of the most widely known and respected young citizens of Decatur, and death coming as it did proved a great shock to a wide circle of friends.

Mr. Peterson was a member of the Baptist church and a splendid young man. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Bobbie and a son Buddy, also by his mother, Mrs. L.C. Peterson, three sisters, Mrs. Nick Brown and Mrs. C.R. Kilgore of this city and Mrs. C.J. Roberts of Mobile, and three brothers, Charles Peterson of Panama, Arthur Peterson of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lewis Peterson of Birmingham.

The following have been named pallbearers, active: John Zanvit, Jim Brown, Bob Sittason, James Singleton, John McDowry and Jordan Smith. Honorary, L.L. Garrison, John Babler, Murrell Bowen, Sterling Sledge, Sam Schooley, Lloyd Eubanks, Hubert Ragsdale, Cecil Young, George Cassimus, Louis Nelson, Charles Hardeman, Jimmy Dobbs, Fred Patterson, C.A. Carter, Garnett Young, H.L. Wright and Edward Singleton.

All pallbearers are requested to meet at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Georges Café.

Funeral services for Clarence Peterson, who dropped dead while at work here on Thursday afternoon will be conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the residence of his mother, Mrs. L.C. Peterson, on Fifth Avenue, south, with interment in the City Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was one of the best known and most respected young citizens of Decatur.
