Leopoldo "Paul" Balducci, age 89, passed away on Monday, November 10th, 2008. He was born on March 23rd, 1919 in Ancona, Italy to Giovanni and Celia Tarsi Balducci.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was an avid gardener and nature lover who enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with everyone around him. He was also an expert shopper and bargain hound, who always knew where to find the best deals. Above all, he was a man of impeccable style that loved life and always had a smile on his face.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Renato "Robert" Balducci, Guerrino "Queno" Balducci, Giuseppi "Joe" Balducci, and Massinino "Marshall" Balducci; sisters: Elsa "Elsie" George, Adalgias "Dena" Ainsworth, and Leucadia "Lena" Mangialardi, all of Mississippi. He is survived by his four children: Paula Balducci Pate of Little Rock, Arkansas, Paul Balducci of Birmingham, Alabama, John Balducci of Little Rock, Arkansas and Martha Ann Fioranelli of Cleveland, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; by his sisters: Gisalda "Josie" Grossi of Greenville, Mississippi and Rosa "Rosie" Richmond of Cleveland, Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Chenal Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation, as well as the doctors and nurses at the VA Hospital for all their love and care.
