OBITUARY - The Marietta Journal, Marietta, Georgia - Thursday Morning, 28 Aug 1902
Died - Mrs. H. B. Wallace received a telegram from Beaumont, Texas, stating that her son, Mr. James H. Wallace, died there that morning. His remains were ordered expressed to Marietta and arrived here Monday. The interment took place in the city cemetery. Mr. Wallace was a brick mason and had been at that place at work. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family. Rev. S. Belk conducted the funeral.

Mr. W. E. Sheldon, Secretary of the Brickmason's Union, No. 12, of Beaumont, Texas, accompanied the remains of Mr. J. H. Wallace, who died in that city, to Marietta, and paid all expenses of transportation and burial, as well as gave a beautiful wreath of flowers to be placed on the casket. Mrs. H. B. Wallace, the mother of the deceased, and other relatives here, feel deeply grateful for the kindness and generosity of the Beaumont Lodge and also to Mr.Sheldon personally for his courtesy and assistance.
