On Last Thursday Afternoon Miss Ada Sims and Mr. Rodney Fortenberry took their many friends by surprise when they were united in the Holy bonds of Matrimony. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Sims, of Columbia, while the groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Fortenberry, of Pinebur. Young Mr. Fortenberry is now located at Destrehan, La. They have a host of friends in and around
Columbia who extend congratulations and very best wishes.

Rites to be held Wednesday for Mrs. Fortenberry

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Methodist Church for Mrs. Ada Sims Fortenberry, 67, who died Monday afternoon at Marion County General Hospital. Rev. J. F. Campbell will officiate, assisted by Rev. Charles Brister, and burial will be in city cemetery.
Mrs. Fortenberry was a member of Hub Methodist Church. Survivors are three sons, Edgar, R. E., Jr., and Harold Fortenberry, all of Columbia; three daughters, Mrs. Jabus Cook and Mrs. Ray Hurst, both of Columbia, and Mrs. John L. Robbins of Jackson; three brothers, H. J. Sims and E. E. Sims of Columbia and Pat Sims of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Ross Guyton and Mrs. Lester Griffin of Columbia; and eight grandchildren.
