Martha was born in Darlington Dist, SC. and died in Florida, most probably what is now Hardee or Desoto Co, FL where her son had moved along with other Whidden relatives.
Being she died in 1845 and the family was living in remote areas still occupied by Indians, her burial site is probably lost for all time.
She married Dempsey Whiddon, March 08, 1802 in Darlington Dist, SC, son of William Whiddon and Mary David.
Records in Washington Co, GA show that the younger children of Martha and Dempsey became wards of John Barwick.
