Final Rites Wednesday For John W. Williams

John W. Williams, 93, died Monday at 10 a.m. in Hillsboro. He was born in Barry, Texas, but had lived most of his life in the Whitney area.
For the past 10 years he had resided in Itasca. He was married to Fleta Fields, February 23, 1892. She preceded him in death January 1918.
He had been a member of the Baptist Church for the past 70 years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Hollingsworth and Marshall Funeral Chapel in Itasca. Burial was here in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Survivors include two brothers, Steve Williams of Whitney and Lewis Williams of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. O.L. Bennett of Plainview and Mrs. W. L. Camp of Whitney; four sons, C.H. Williams of Brawley, Calif., L.V. Williams and Woodrow Williams of Dallas and S. W. Williams of Fort Worth; four daughters, Mrs. P.E. Shelley of Brawley, Calif., Mrs. Thurman Cooper of Dallas, Mrs. L.W. Gardner of Itasca and Mrs. Dick Golden of Dalhart; 48 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
