Enzo Sereni was born in Rome - obtained his PhD at the University of Rome, he was an active trade unionist. A well educated man,scholar,advocate and resistance fighter.
In 1931 - 1934 Enzo helped to smuggle Jews and money out of Germany.He was briefly arrested by the Gestapo.
During the Second World War Sereni joined the British Army and later the Special Operations Executive, after training he was parachuted into Northern Italy...but was captured immediately and brutally interrogated, then sent to Dachau Concentration Camp.
Sereni was executed at Dachau Concentration Camp on: 18th November 1944. (Records Show:Shot)
Many Streets throughout Isreal are named after him.
