Joyce Madrene Johnson, 70, of Overland Park, Kan., died Monday, May 4, 2009, at Menorah Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 4, 1938, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Ivan Louis and Alice Faye (Embry) Smith.
In the late 1960s she married Charles Johnson. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1990.
She is survived by her siblings, Bill (Linda) Smith of Twain Harte, Calif., Gary (Wanda) Smith of Austin, Texas and Janice Pent of Overland Park, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
