Doris I. Emminger, 87, of Kittanning, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 23, 2009, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1921, in East Franklin Township, a daughter of the late Fred R. and Pearle B. (Hunter) Bowser. She was a longtime employee of Brown's Boat Shop. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kittanning. She enjoyed gardening, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her stepdaughters, Margaret McClelland, of Kittanning, and Elizabeth Emmonds, of Ford City; 13 stepgrandchildren; sister-in-law, Lynn Bowser, of Kittanning; and nephew, Michael Bowser, of Kittanning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Emminger, who died Aug. 1, 1992; and brother, Miles Bowser. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. A.
