Uncle Jesse L. Blakemore; one of the best known and oldest citizens of Washington County, died March 7, near Nicols, Mo. His son and nephew were called to his bed side and they accompanied his remains from Nicols to Boonsboro, where he lived. He left here a fortnight ago to attend to business in Missouri and was stricken with pneumonia of which he died in three days. He has a brother at Billngsly and one at Springdale. Mr. Blakemore came to this county from east Tennessee twenty years ago. Although he was three years past three score and ten he was hale and hearty and carried his age well. He was buried Thursday at Boonsboro in the College cemetry.
