Ira Neal Kearns, 84, of Davenport, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Central City and Olin, died Thursday Aug 20, 1992 in Mercy Hospital, Davenport, of injuries suffered in an auto accident. Services were held at 1 pm Saturday, Aug 22, 1992, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with military honors by American Legion Hanford Post 5 and Masonic services by Olin Ancient Landmark Lodge 200 AF & AM. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Ira was born July 5, 1908 in Central City and married Clarice A Easterly on June 27, 1936 at Vinton. She died in 1985. He owned and operated the K&E Grocery Store in Olin for many years and later worked for Consolidated Foods in Davenport for 10 years, retiring on 1972. He was a member of St John's United Methodist Church in Davenport, Davenport Consistory and Kaaba Shrine Temple, Olin Order of Eastern Star, Davenport American Legion, and Moose Lodge. He was a WW II Army veteran. The Rev Lynn Ryan of St John's United Methodist Church, Davenport officiated.
