Edgar S. Jones, 89, of 630 Columbus Drive died Saturday at his home. The Bulloch County native lived in Savannah for many years. He was retired from Terattus Oldsmobile Dealership. He was a member of American Legion Post 135 and was a descendant of the first pioneer family in Bulloch County.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Inez English Jones of Savannah; a grandson, Somers Miller of Beauford, S.C.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Stephen J. Wunder of Nashville, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro. Fox and Weeks Funeral Home.
