We have lost our mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Barbara Miller Colelli passed away on Thursday, March 10th, 2011.

Barbara was born on January 12, 1937 in Iota, Louisiana to Augustine and Lillian Miller, she attended St Francis Catholic School. On February 2, 1957, she married Vincent Robert Colelli and they went on to have 4 children. Barbara lived in Iota, Louisiana, Lake Charles Louisiana, La Marque, Texas, Galveston, Texas and finally League City, Texas. She worked at UTMB until retiring in January 2002.

Barbara was an active member of many volunteer organizations. She was past president of the volunteer organization of Queen of Peace in La Marque, past president and member of the Opti-Mrs Club of Galveston, past vice president of the Little League La Marque, a member of the St. Patrick's Altar Society and active in Treasure Ball.

Barbara will be especially remembered for her beautiful and delicious cakes and all the wonderful food she made. She will also be remembered for her work with Treasure Ball and the many beautiful costumes she made for not only her children but her children's friends.

Survivors include her sons Marc Colelli of San Francisco, California, John Colelli and wife Gail of League City, Craig Colelli and wife Stephanie also of League City; daughter, Debi Colelli-Schneider and husband Mike of Cypress, Texas. She is also survived by her 6 beautiful grandchildren; Ryan Vincent Colelli of San Antonio, Lance Corporal Quentin Michael Colelli USMC of Okinawa, Japan, Shelby Elise Colelli of College Station, Meredith Anne Colelli of League City and Mathew Martin and Madison Marie Schneider of Cypress. She is also survived by her sister Eloise Brewer of Arnaudville, Louisiana; brothers Larry Miller and wife Marceline and Remy Miller and wife Julie all of Lake Charles and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Augustine and Lillian Miller and her spouse of almost 50 years, Vincent Colelli.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Colelli, Lance Corporal Quentin Colelli USMC, Mathew Schneider, John Colelli, Craig Colelli, Mike Schneider and Bill Ryan Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Godsons Randy Miller and Robert Brewer, cousin Marc Santicola, as well as close family friend Ralph Bowers.

Barbara was blessed with wonderful friends whom she is leaving behind. These wonderful ladies were very special to both her as well as her children. Her memory especially will live on in Pat Bowers, Connie Schultz, Kyla Jackson, Evelyn Atchison, Bobbie Ogea, Sue Stevens and Mary Romanausky. We would also like to acknowledge the late Carol Peterson for her kindness and blessings throughout the years. We would like to acknowledge her wonderful friends in her Village at Tuscan Lakes for their warm love and support during her time of need.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 13th at J. Levy & Termini Funeral home. Services will be held Monday March 14th at 10:00 a.m., on Monday at Sacred Heart Church in Galveston, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions are made to Hospice Care Team Texas City or The Red Cross.
