Mrs. C.B. Todd Dies
June 9, 1937 - Mrs. C.B. Todd passed away quietly at her home at Pleasant Meadow June 9, at the age of 71 years. She was before her marriage Miss Susan Jane Blanton, daughter of the late David Blanton.
Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church Friday morning, June 11, and conducted by her pastor, Rev. Hatley, assisted by Rev. Frank Fisher. A special choir rendered favorite songs of the deceased. The church and altar was a bower of beautiful floral tribute in testimony of the love and affection in which Mrs. Todd was held by those who knew her. Interment followed in the family plot at the Loris Cemetery.
In early life the deceased connected herself with the Pleasant Meadow Church near her home where she remained a devoted member and attendant until her death. She was truly a great woman and her happy smile and genial companionship will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, C.B. Todd, and all of her children: O.E. Todd, Wilmington, N.C.; Mrs. Charlie Johnson, Jefferson, S.C.; Mrs. J.L. Johnson of Georgetown, SC; G.H. Todd, of Loris, S.C.; Mrs. A.P. Cox, of Pitts, Ga.; Mrs. A.B. Jackson, Tabor City, N.C.; Mrs. Leoard Edgeworth, of Hartsville, S.C.; Mr. J. Leon Todd, of Tabor City, N.C. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and friends.
