Rolland Leo Duncan, age 86, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, May 11, 2009, at Boone Hospital Center. He was born in Pevely on June 25, 1922, a son of the late John and Stella (Dean) Duncan. In March 1976, in Camdenton, he was married to Reba Wickham, who survives at the home.

Rolland was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Versailles Masonic Lodge 320 and Local 513. He was also a Miller County Democratic Chairman for four years. Rolland loved all little kids and his dog, Grizzly Bear and he enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing.

Others who survive him include: three children, Lynne Cadorette and husband Don of Nashville, Tennessee, Macher Davis of Austin, Indiana and Toni Burks and husband Bill of Tuscumbia; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Duncan of Versailles and Dale Duncan of Crocker and numerous nieces and nephews.

Two children, Farron and D.J. Stone and six brothers, John, Dean, James, Lawrence, Kenneth and Chester Duncan, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 with a Masonic Service at 11:30 a.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment with military honors provided by the Miller County VFW Post 2442 will be held in Tuscumbia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
