She died of Tuberculosis in Chestnut Hill, PA.
She was probably living with her Godparents. Her burial at Greenwood took place November 13, 1873. She had been reintered from the family burial ground when her mother sold the estate. Her mother's grief made it difficult for her to remain in Brooklyn and she removed to Michigan to live with her son Robert Lee.
