Eunice Lucille Cothran Newton, 87, died Saturday, December 10, 1994, at her residence.

Mrs. Newton was born February 17, 1907, in Westminster, SC, a daughter of William Eli Cothran and Lula Clark Cothran. She was a member of Gourdines Chapel Church and was the widow of Warren Leo Newton.

She was survived by four daughters, Lucille Byrdic of Columbia, Janet Robinson of Lancaster, and Annie M. Cook and Lenora J. Morris, both of Andrews; three sons, James Newton and Johnny Newton, both of Andrews, and Jack Newton of Georgetown, a step-sister, a half-sister, 34 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, December 12, 1994, in Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown, followed in Gourdines Chapel Cemetery.
