Francis worked as a mail carrier, a farmer and eventually a janitor right before retirement. Francis was killed when he was hit by a car at the age of 74.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 28, 1957, in Milwaukee, WI, for Francis Konopacki, who passed away on Jan. 24, 1957, at Milwaukee's County General Hospital. His death was caused from injuries he received on Jan. 18 when he was struck by a car.
A native of Sharon, WI, Mr. Konopacki was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Konopacki. Prior to going to Milwaukee 16 years ago, he was a rural mail carrier in the Sharon area for 18 years.
He was married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church to the former Miss Helen Kluck, who also lives in Milwaukee.
In Milwaukee, Mr. Konopacki worked as a janitor for the A.O. Smith Corp. for several years before retiring in 1955.
Surviving are a son, Ernest, West Allis; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Quartemont, LA, Mrs. Esther Bastian and Mrs. Virginia Arnold, Port Edwards, WI, Mrs. Beatrice Grim, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Caroline Macjolek, Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, John and Joseph Konopacki, Manitowoc, WI, three sisters, Mrs. Glodowski, Stevens Point, WI, and Mrs. Helen Ropella and Mrs. Nettie Smaglik, Milwaukee; a half brother, Alex Stanislowski, ID, and two half sisters, Mrs. Leona Haendel and Miss Florence Stanislawski, Milwaukee.
The services were held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Milwaukee, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
