The December 3, 1965 edition of The Robesonian included the following: Confederate Grave is Marked by UDC At Moriah Church – Rowland – Rowland chapter 2312 of the U.D.C., along with relatives and friends of the members, dedicated a marble marker to the memory of Isaac Thompson McLean, a confederate veteran, Sunday afternoon at Mt. Moriah Baptist church cemetery. The service was in charge of Miss Catherine Pittman, local chairman of markers for Confederate graves…A wreath of red carnations was placed on the grave by Mr. McLean's granddaughter, Mrs. W. L. Loy.
