Mrs. Knapp, after a long and severe illness with dropsy, departed this life May 2Oth. She was born in Harrisburg, December 7th, 1830, and was
united in marriage with Mr. Knapp in 1853. They had resided on the place where she died 30 years. Her age was 74 years, 5 months aud 13 days. Mrs. Knapp was a woman whose happiness
was enjoyed in her home. Of late years she had been about but little, but one would always find her busily engaged in her household duties. Mr. and Mrs. Knapp had toiled together through storm
and sunshine for nearly 55 years, and were always truely devoted to each other. Mrs. Knapp was a lady held in high esteem for her many endearing qualities. Their only daughter died
July 24th, 1900. She is survived by a kind and indulgent husband, who will miss her in all the walks of life; also one son, J. E. Knapp, of Denmark, and one brother, Alfred Suits, of Milwaukee, Wis.
Kind friends contributed several beautiful floral pieces at her funeral, at which Rev. J. H. Keeling officiated. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery, Copenhagen The famity will have the sympathy of the community.
