CHARLES JACOB FORREST husband of Hattie Maude Forrest, died at home in Smithsburg Monday after an illness of three years, age 64 years.
Born and reared near Middletown, he was the youngest son of the late Jacob and Charlotte Ward Forrest.
He was a carpenter by trade and was an employee of Fairchild Aircraft for the past nine years. He was a member of the E. U. B. Church, Middletown.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Hattie Maude (Smith) Forrest; daughters Miss Charlotte Ward Forrest, Hagerstown; Mrs. Lorena Hester, Jacksonville, N. C.; sister, Mrs. Jennie B. Long, Smithsburg; brothers, Edgar B., Hagerstown; Omar E., Funkstown, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services Thursday at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Orrin T. Carroll, assisted by Rev. George Shimer. Interment in the Smithsburg Cemetery.
