--Calvin W. Cress, 61, 21 South St., died at his residence Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1984.
--He was born in Peru on Aug. 23, 1923, to Berchard and Bertha Townsend Cress.
--Surviving are two daughters, LuAnn Landis, Logansport, and Cindy Cearing, Monticello; one sister, Evelyn Allison of Virginia; and five grandchildren. Five sisters and two brothers are deceased.
--Mr. Cress was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
--Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Marion National Cemetery, with the Rev. Roger Gardner officiating.
