--Services for Cecil B. Dress, 69, Peru, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Shaner officiating. He died Tuesday, July 6, 1982, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, after a three-year illness.
--He was born in Cass County Dec. 24, 1912, to Berchard and Bertha Townsend Cress. He lived in this area all his life. He was married to Isa See June 6, 1937, she survives.
--Also surviving are four sons, James of Daytona Beach, Fla., Charles of Conroe, Texas, John Joseph of Joplin, Mo., and Jerry of Peru; two sisters, Carol, wife of Marvin Snyder, Brighton, Mich., and Joyce, wife of Bill Degunya, Peru; two brothers, Henry, Greenville, S. C., and Calvin, Peru; one sister, Evelyn Allison, Seaford, Va.; and 17 grandchildren.
--Mr. Cress was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.
--Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
