Ryan, Neva A. (Ecker) of Spaulding Township, Michigan. Passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Neva was born April 27, 1931, to the late John Ecker and Ruth (Ecker) Bissle. She married William "Bill" Ryan, her loving husband of 61 years, on February 5, 1949; he survives her. Neva was a long time bowler in Saginaw and an avid reader. Neva especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband Bill are one son, one daughter and their spouses: Bill and Connie Ryan, Reese, and Karen and Augie Tausend, Bridgeport; five grandchildren and spouses: Brandon and Michelle Ryan, Kirk Ryan, Shawn and Emily Ryan, Sheryl and Jeff Carpenter, and David Boensch and fiancee Christi Stone; nine great-grandchildren: two sisters, Helen Robinson, and Neva's twin, Nada Wardlow; one brother: Robert Ecker; many loving nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Gloria Putnam and Norma Richmond, and by one brother, John "Jack" Ecker Jr.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday and then from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
