Funeral services for Eldora Holt will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dan Barrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.She was born northwest of Fairview on Sept. 23, 1922, to John and Elizabeth Ollenberger Wichert and traveled the last path of her life on Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. Eldora was a beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She loved and cherished her family. She touched many lives in her journey through life. She was the music director for many years at the Maine Nazarene Church, and also directed choirs, sang specials and taught children's Sunday school classes and Vacation Bible SchoolShe married William B. Holt Oct. 1, 1940, and he passed away Feb 15, 1989.Her hobbies included reading the Bible, needle work, baking, fishing, playing her guitar and singing old hymns and cowboy songs and yodeling. Eldora worked in the Enid School System in the cafeteria for 27 years. She worked as the main cook at Enid High School, the main cake, pie and bread baker at Dewitt Waller Jr. High and Emerson Jr. High. She was part of the cookie ministry at First Assembly of God Church. She made wonderful salsa, plum jelly, big cinnamon rolls and big cookies, which she decorated. She loved her God and her family and friends. Eldora was a wonderful Christian lady who loved serving them all in any way she could. Eldora's love was unconditional.She is survived by her brother, Alvin Wichert of Enid; three children, Glen Holt and wife Cynthia of Oklahoma City, Carolyn Lunn and her husband Alex of Guthrie, Okla., and Marvin Holt and wife Linda of Enid; grandchildren, Amy, Tracy, Jeff, Sean, Casey and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Kacie, Lydel, Susan, John, Zeb, Wyatt, Jillian, Kelsie, Madyson, Bethanie, Breckin and Zoey; and great-great-grandchildren, Lilly, Rider, Shindonna and Geneva. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and two grandsons.
