Eutimio Guerra de Hernandes, age 70 and a native Texan, passed away unexpectedly at Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. Mr. Guerra carried on his family's tradition of farming in the Lower Rio Grande River Valley during his life. He was born in Hidalgo County but moved to Karnes County with his parents and siblings where he lived for the first three decades of the 20th Century. Eutimio married Eufracia Trevino* and they were the parents of six children, four boys and two girls, and all were born in Helena or Karnes City in Karnes County. Eutimio spent his childhood on the Jackson Rancho in Hidalgo County, Texas. In 1942, he was working for J.W. Richardson in Nueces County. He retired in Robstown, Nueces County.

Eutimio was survived by his wife, Mrs. Eufracia Trevino de Guerra; his six children: sons, Aurelio, Erasmo, Nicolas, and Ricardo; daughters, Mrs. Odelia Guerra de Garcia (Shelby County, MS) and Mrs. Carolina Guerra de Valenzuela (Robstown, Nueces County); numerous grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Cristina Guerra de Silvas (and her family) and Mrs. Petra Guerra de Rabago (and her family); one brother, Mr. Crecencio Guerra de Figueroa; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
