JoAnn Brewer, born March 24, 1934, died peacefully at home Sunday, April 29, 2012, after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Dennis L Goins and Lillie Marie Johnson Goins; her sisters, Margaret Hill, Reta Dean Reed and Barbara Cawood.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Eugene Brewer; daughters, Debbie Rudd & husband Steve Rudd and Denise Stringfield; grandsons, Jason Ferguson, Evan Rudd, Garrett Rudd, Kyle Stringfield, Cody Stringfield; great grand-daughter, Natale Rose Ferguson.
She loved the Lord and was ready to meet Him face to face. She lived a full life of fun. In her younger, healthier, days she was active in her church, and loved to square dance, camp and water ski. Because of her love of music, she learned to play the bass guitar in her 30's. She played in a family band with her husband and 2 daughters for many years. Her husband and her shared their love of music with many people, giving free guitar and bass guitar lessons. She was a loving wife and devoted mother who liked nothing more than to make her family happy and support their every dream.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May1st, from 6-8PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 2nd, at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Sartin Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
