Timothy P. Snyder, eldest son of John Hartranft Snyder and Minnie Rebecca (Strohecker) Snyder, was born on 1 May 1898 in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

His father was one of the co-founders of the Lavelle Telephone and Telegraph Company, which was operated from the Snyder family home on Main Street in Lavelle. His mother also operated a dry goods store from the family home.

Tim, who carried the given name of his Civil War veteran grandfather, Timothy Matthias Snyder, was educated at the Lavelle School, and is believed by family historians to have worked at a local coal mine as a teenager to help his parents and seven brothers and sisters make ends meet.

He died on 22 April 1913 from injuries sustained when he fell from a train at a coal mine near Locustdale, Pennsylvania, and is interred with his parents at Citizens Cemetery in Lavelle.

Grave sites of John Hartranft Snyder and his wife, Minnie Rebecca (Strohecker) Snyder, and their son, Timothy P. Snyder at Citizens Cemetery in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

John H. Snyder was one of the founders of the Lavelle Telephone and Telegraph Company.

Tim died as a teenager from injuries sustained in an accident. He fell from a train at a coal mine in Locustdale.

A low brick wall borders their graves and those of Minnie's sister, Estella C. (Strohecker) Enterline and her husband, Thomas Edward Enterline, and their sons: Bright Samuel ("Pat") Enterline and George S. Enterline, which are located above the Snyder graves and within the brick enclosure.

T.E. Enterline founded and operated the general merchandise store in Lavelle. Following his untimely death, Pat and Stella operated the store. Other children of T.E. and Stella Enterline are buried nearby.

Note the brick wall bordering their graves, and the American flag next to a second gravemarker within the wall. That headstone marks the graves of Minnie's sister, Estella C. (Strohecker) Enterline, and her husband, Thomas Edward Enterline, and their sons: Bright Samuel ("Pat") Enterline and George S. Enterline.

Following T.E. Enterline's death, Stella and Pat operated the general store. After Stella's death, Pat operated the store with his brother, Russell, who is buried nearby (as are other children of T.E. and Stella Enterline).
