Geneive Morehouse Erickson, 98, Brookston, died Sunday Sunday, Feb. 5 at noon in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there since July. She was born Jan. 30, 1891 in Lafayette, and graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1912. She lived on a farm from 1916 until moving to Brookston in 1927. Her marriage was to Morris H. Erickson Sr., March 31, 1916, in Tippecanoe County. He died in April, 1950. Mrs. Erickson was a member of Brookston Federated Church; Philathea Sunday School Class at the church; Art Club and Garden Club, both in Brookston, and a member of Crystal Chapter 165, Order of Eastern Star in Monticello, for more than 50 years.

Surviving are two sons, Morris H. Erickson Jr., West Lafayette and John Paul Erickson, R.2, Brookston; one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Harmon, Brookston; and a sister, Mrs. Zelina "Sammy" Hess, a resident of Heritage Healthcare, West Lafayette. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. Four brothers, 4 sisters, 2 great-great grandchildren preceded in death.

Service was Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Brookston Federated Church with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Smith officiating. Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston. Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston was in charge.
