Gene Acerra
SOUTH HAVEN - Gene Acerra, 52, of South Haven died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at his home.
Gene was born May 31, 1950, in Chicago, to Marie (Hinz) and Joseph Acerra. He was a 1968 graduate of South Haven High School and had worked at South Haven Rubber Co., for 18 years. He currently was employed at Donnelly Corporation in Holland, Mich., where he had worked for the last 10 years.
Surviving is his wife, Cynthia Acerra, a son, A.J. Acerra, and two daughters, Jenna and Chelsea Acerra, all of South Haven; sister, Sharon (Neele) Barner of Kalamazoo; two brothers - Larry (Karen) Acerra and Roger (Kathy) Acerra, both of South Haven.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Chambers Cemetery, Geneva Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family is being helped by the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven.
