Melvin B. Yount, 75, farmer living near Brookston, died at the Home hospital in Lafayette, Friday morning, April 29, after having been ill but a short time with heart trouble. He was born in Clinton county, and married Clara Cuppy in 1888. She passed away in 1918. Surviving are three sons, one daughter, and a sister, Mrs. John Black, of Frankfort. The last rites were held at the home of his son, Leo Yount, Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Brookston.
Mr. Yount was a brother of the late Marvin Yount, of Mulberry. Mrs. Black is the sole survivor of this family.
