MARGIE PATTERSON HALE

Funeral services for Margie Patterson Hale will be 9 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jordan Johnson, pastor of Harvey Street Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hale passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at East Texas Medical Center in Quitman.

Margie was born Feb. 3, 1920 in Valley View to George and Pearl (Blankenship) Lewis. She married Loy Patterson March 10, 1937 in Marietta, Okla. Loy preceded her in death Dec. 14, 1972.

Margie married Billy Lee Hale Jan. 23, 1976 in Gainesville. Billy died in November 2004.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors of Margie Patterson Hale include her sons, Kenneth Rodney Patterson of Gainesville and Wilbert Hale of Oxnard, Calif.; daughters, Nancy Hayes of Winnsboro, Darlene Vanlandingham of Oxnard, Calif. and Juna Lee Armstrong of Goodlettasville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Loy Patterson and Billy Hale; sons, Larry Patterson and Loy Lee Patterson and a grandson, James Patterson.
