Jesse was the son of Albert and Sarah (Thompson) Heston. He was a native of Hartsville and he lived his adult life in Furlong. He was married twice, his first wife was Margaret (Kirk) Heston. They were married on March 15, 1900 at a place called Groveland, which apparently was located somewhere near Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They had 4 children. He married a second time to his sister-in-law Mabel (Krusen) Kirk. They were married sometime in 1930 or 31. Jesse's first wife Margaret's brother Chittick Kirk was Mabel's first husband.
