Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Fritzler, 83, of Nampa, who died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1988, at her home of natural causes will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Nampa Zion Lutheran Church, 404 Nectarine St. The Rev. David Schmidt, pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Koherlawn (sic) Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs. Marie Fritzler was born on Dec. 15, 1904, at Balzar, Russia, to Henry and Katherine Bauer Blitz. At the age of 5 she came to the United States with her parents. They settled in Lincoln, Neb. where she was reared and attended schools. She married Paul Fritzler on March 3, 1925, in Lincoln and they made their home in Torrington, Wyo. In 1941 they moved to Nampa where they have since resided. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family very much.
She was a member of the Nampa Zion Lutheran Church and had been involved in the Good Shepherd Society and the Lutheran Ladies Aid Society.
Marie is survived by her husband, Paul of Nampa; a son and his wife, Paul R. and Mary Fritzler, Nampa; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Reitz, Terra, Kan., Mrs. Esther Davies, Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Betty Pitsch, Seward, Nev., and Mrs. Lydia Powell, Aurora, Neb.; three brothers, Harry Blitz, Robert "Bob" Blitz and Rein Rebensdorf, all of Lincoln, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, stepmother, three brothers and a sister.
The family suggest memorial contributions to the Zion Lutheran Church for mission work or flowers may be sent.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
